Hi Tomas - this may be an odd question, but I came across your Flickr photo set of a raleigh rx 1.0 bike - the same bike is now on ebay being sold as a 'new, never ridden' frameset. The unique scratches, etc. on the ebay bike are an exact match to those in your Flickr set from Dec of '10. Q - did you sell that bike, are you the person selling it on ebay, and/or by chance was your bike stolen and is being resold by a third-party on ebay? I can give you the ebay link if you'd like to check it. I assure you your bike in the Flickr set "Roxi" is the same bike on ebay being sold as a frameset. That seller is in Salt Lake City, where I believe you live or did live based on your profile.

Switching from incandescent to LED lights makes a more positive difference in resistance than from one reasonably modern/decent dynamo hub to another. See http://clevercycles.com/2010/12/10/led-dynamo-headlamps-brighter-and-less-draggy-than-halogen/ . Wonder if your old lights were halogen and new LED?

Well. The most I've ever ridden in one go is about 40 miles (in 1999), so from my perspective, you totally rock.
(Just sayin'.)

awesome work, thanks for sharing.
what might you do differently? do you think beef jerky or some such might have helped in the morning? i have to admit that i know little about nutrition and riding. i just eat and eat, so i should probably research that.

i thought hard about the 300k, but decided against as it would be my first brevet and i'd like to start with a 200k. since i have a few days to myself that weekend, i will be doing some solo camping, cape lookout to saddle mountain and then back home - starting in hillsboro via max. hopefully i will see you guys out there!
still planning on the night brevet in april though.
